Hide and Seek by LynnStrife Hide and Seek by LynnStrife
2010 Lynn Slijkhuis - aka Lynn Strife
________________________________

[Full view please~!]

Again, two OCs from my manga Shiro - The Seventh Player.
The girl with the red hair is Hamacha, the other girl is Ai. This is a pic from their childhood ^^
And yes - they used to be best friends.
Guess the title says enough... they're playing hide and seek =P

I tried to let it look like a real cherished memory, so I mainly used soft colours and pink. :floating:

I really hope you like it and thanks a lot for looking~!

You know, you made an amazing effect here, an effect which I didn't really think much of before this... Their eye-less faces send the impression of an indeed cherished memory, a memory which sadly remained in the past, meaning in the present time, their present time, they probably fought till they split up, or something had happened to make them walk separate ways...this is what I get from watching this... That heart-aching melancholy when remembering things that today aren't the way they used to be at some point...

The colouring is just...perfect...

Wow, all the things you said are exactly what I meant with this pic!
Ai's and Hamacha's story is quite tragic, I should find a way to tell it though, together with Shiro's. I'm thinking of writing a story about them all, instead of a comic, but I'm not sure yet..

Thanks so much  I'm really happy you like it and it means a lot to me to know that you can feel what I meant with the pic =)

That is just my way of understanding things :D

Who knows what you would do; the only I thing I do know is that you will succeed in writing something amazing about them :)

You're very welcome :D But you know, not everyone can be that receptive :)

Yep, so true ^^; Many people don't see and feel certain things --"
Like last week, at school, I looked out of the window and suddenly saw two rainbows, and I was like "woooow, so pretty *___* hey guys! look!", and first no one responded. After a minute or so one classmate responded and when she saw it she only said "oh :|".
Alright, alright, maybe rainbows aren't the most exciting things, but still they're beautiful to look at, right? It's not like you see them every day o.o"

In this particular case, I believe it's that saying: "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" <_<
